Srinagar, July 19: Faced with rising allegations of human rights violations, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today said his government would not tolerate any such complaints and those found guilty would face stern action. Sayeed said his government had time and again made it clear to all branches of security forces, including state police, that human rights violations would not be tolerated. However, it was a matter of concern that human right abuses were still being reported from some areas, the chief minister said adding his government had taken serious cognizance of all the cases. Asking the Director General of Police to investigate the cases and book the erring officials, Sayeed asked him to take up the issue with other security agencies to ensure that such incidents were not repeated.
