Musharraf is stopping over in London en route to the US where he will meet on Saturday with US President George W Bush on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. Blair met the Pakistani leader exactly a month ago in Islamabad during one of his diplomatic missions to bolster international support for the coalition against terrorism.
Islamabad is a vital ally in the US-led campaign against the ruling Taliban regime in Afghanistan and Osama bin Laden, prime suspect behind the September 11 attacks in the US. Pakistan, which has a long border with Afghanistan, has promised its full cooperation with the campaign.
