SUS `99 scheme NAV more than doubles
Mumbai, May 31: The net asset value of Special Unit Scheme (SUS) 1999, having investments in the shares of state-owned companies, has more than doubled to Rs 3,417 crore as on today from Rs 1,516.74 as on June 29, 1999.

SUS 99, launched in June 1999 on the recommendation by Deepak Parekh panel started with book value of Rs 3,300 crore with depreciation of Rs 1,783.26 crore, UTI-I, administrator of the specified undertaking of UTI, said in a release here on Friday.
The depreciation of the portfolio at the time of subscription resulted in per unit NAV of Rs 45.96 as against the face value of Rs 100 per unit, the release said.
The active fund management strategy adopted by fund managers and performance of PSU stocks in the recent past helped the scheme to improve NAV, it said. Bureau Report
