Patna, Oct 10: A fresh case, involving charges of forgery and forcible land grabbing, has been registered against controversial RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin, police said here today. The case was registered at Siwan Police Station on the directive of Director General of Police D P Ojha following complaint of one Ratneshwar Prasad Singh, a resident of Newari village in Jahanabad, on Wednesday.

Singh, in his complaint accused Shahabuddin of forcibly grabbing his land at Chhitauli village in Siwan and converting it into a farm house. At present, Shahabuddin is incarcerated in Siwan Jail in four other cases including assault on a DSP and abduction and subsequent murder of a CPI-ML activist.

Meanwhile, RJD Bihar chief Abdul Bari Siddique said Shahabuddin was still a member of the party and there where no complaints against him.

Shahabuddin, in a statement on Wednesday, accused the ruling RJD of hatching a conspiracy to send him behind bars and said any such sinister design would be fraught with dire consequences. Bureau Report
