Patna, July 29: Bihar Governor M Rama Jois has returned an amendment bill seeking to enhance perks and pension of the members of the state legislature, Raj Bhavan sources said today. The governor returned the amendment bill and sought clarifications on certain points, the sources said but refused to divulge the details.

The Bihar Cabinet had recently okayed the bill seeking to amend the Bihar State Legislature (members' salary, allowance and pension) Act, 1960.
The bill had the provision for allowing legislators to employ an assistant to help them carry on their responsibilities as public representatives for which they would be paid an additional amount of Rs 5,000 per month.
The cabinet, which met here on July 22, had also decided to raise the daily allowance of legislators from Rs 300 to Rs 400, he said. Bureau Report
