Siddiqui to be new DGP of Punjab, 28 IPS shifted
Chandigarh, June 20: In a major reshuffle, Punjab government today transferred 28 top-level IPS officers and promoted ADGP (law and order) A A Siddiqui as the new DGP of the state.
Chandigarh, June 20: In a major reshuffle, Punjab
government today transferred 28 top-level IPS officers and
promoted ADGP (law and order) A A Siddiqui as the new DGP of
the state.
Siddiqui will replace present incumbent M S Bhullar from
July one, an official spokesman said here.
The officers shifted included that of the ranks of ADGP,
IGP and DIG.
Punjab State Human Rights Commission (PSHRC) ADGP S K
Verma has been transferred as DGP PSHRC. He will take charge
on July one.
Punjab home guards commandant general and director civil defence A P Bhatnagar has been posted as ADGP prisons. He will also take charge on July one.
Sarbjit Singh, awaiting posting, goes as Director General of Punjab-cum-Commandant General, Punjab Home Guard and Director Civil Defence in place of Bhatnagar.
Jarnail Singh Chahal, chairman Punjab Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) Patiala becomes chairman Punjab Police Housing Corporation.
