New Delhi, Aug 24: David Lloyd, managing director of British PR firm "Financial Dynamics", which has been hired by the Finance Ministry to build the India brand in UK, begins his 10-day whirlwind tour of the country today to formulate its strategy which will include talks with the Telecom, Disinvestment and Industry Ministry officials besides a string of factory visits.
Lloyd will start his tour with presentations by the Disinvestment and Heavy Industry Ministries and visits to the Maruti factory in Gurgaon, Haryana, and Bhel headquarters in Delhi.
Officials from the Departments of Telecom as well as from the Industrial Policy and Promotion will also be meeting Lloyd.
He will visit St Microelectronics, a telecom chip designing company and Handicrafts Mart in Noida, and Apollo Hospital which has attracted substantial FDI, official sources said, adding the Noida Special Economic Zone and National Institute of Immunology are also part of the visit.
His other key site visits would be Infosys campus in Bangalore and Bajaj automobiles factory in Pune.



With a view to give him an industry perspective, chambers like CII and FICCI have arranged meetings with Lloyd with a select group of corporates and economic analysts.



In Mumbai, he will have interaction from banking, insurance and financial services sector with presentation from SEBI. Lloyd will also visit BSE besides having discussions with CEOs of pharma companies and Indian Pharmaceutical Association and other captains of industry.



Whether he will meet Tata and Reliance chiefs, could not be specifically ascertained.
