Bhopal, May 18: Madhya Pradesh Police has begun providing on the Internet information about history-sheeter criminals from the state, enabling police all over the country to get online documents about these criminals. "In the initial stage, history sheets of dacoits operating in Gwalior and Chambal regions of the state have been put on the net,” according to officials in the state police headquarters here today.

The task, done by crime criminal information networking, would not only give personal information about criminals but would also tell about the methods they adopt to commit crimes, their previous records and psychological status, they said.

The information posted on the net would also tell about various crimes committed by criminals, their nature, attitude, their possible hideouts, relatives and friends, they said.
Information about the dacoits from Chambal and Gwalior regions has been put on the net as they tend to cross-over to neighbouring states after committing crimes here, they said.

"However, right now the biggest challenge from the criminal world comes from terrorist activities, the ISI of Pakistan and the role of criminals having connection with the underworld,” the officials said.

Training is being given to jawans from the Central Reserve Police Force while the state police is raising commandos to help fight notorious criminals, the officials said adding, this training is being provided on the lines of the one given to the National Security Guards (NSG).
