Chennai, Feb 09: Leaders of political parties called on MDMK general secretary Vaiko who was released on bail in a Pota case yesterday. DMK deputy general secretary M K Stalin, CPI Tamil Nadu general secretary R Nallakannu, CPI(M) state secretary N Varadarajan and Tamil Magazine 'Nakkeeran' editor R R Gopal were among those who called on Vaiko at his residence in Anna Nagar. The leaders felicitated Vaiko and spent about half an hour with the MDMK leader. Vaiko, who was arrested under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (Pota) for his pro-LTTE speech at a public meeting at Thirumangalam in Madurai on June 29, 2002, had come out on bail after being under detention for 577 days.
