Winter Arrives In Kashmir As Season's First Snowfall Blankets Gulmarg — See PICS

Fresh snowfall has been observed in Kashmir's mountains and border areas, famous tourist places like Gurez Valley, Machhel Valley, Gulmarg and Sonamarg. 

 

The renowned ski resorts of Gulmarg's Bowl, Kongdori, and Upperwath have received fresh snowfall. The main Gulmarg Bowl saw 2-3 cm of snow, while Kongdori and Upperwath recorded 5-6 inches.

 

Sonamarg, another well-known tourist spot, also received a substantial amount of snow. Furthermore, fresh snowfall has been reported in North Kashmir's border areas, including Gurez Valley, Machhel Valley, and Karnah, with locals in Gurez enjoying the snowfall.

 

The Director of the Kashmir Meteorological Department said that the weather will remain cold but dry until November 23.
