Madurai, Sept 27: Union minister of state for railways A K Moorthy said he intended to take a delegation of all Members of Parliament from Tamil Nadu to the Prime Minister to place before him the state's requirements for various railway projects and seek funds. Addressing the 78th anniversary of the Tamil Nadu chamber of commerce and industry here, he said the need of the hour was unity among the MPs of Tamil Nadu like in Kerala and Karanataka to effectively present the state's case.
Stating that he had written to all the 234 MLAs of the state seeking their suggestions for improvement railway facilities as also requirement of their constituencies.
Moorthy regretted only a few MLAs had responded to his effort. Bureau Report
