J&K gets cellular services from today
New Delhi, Aug 20: In keeping with Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee`s promise, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited will launch its cellular services in Jammu and Kashmir today, beginning with Jammu, Srinagar and Katra.

"Our cellular services Cellone will be launched in Jammu
and Kashmir. We have already got a tremendous
response from subscribers," BSNL chairman and managing
director Prithipal Singh told here yesterday.
Singh said the services would be started in a phased manner starting with Jammu, Srinagar and Katra.
He said there had been a rush to BSNL counters and that the "demand is much more than the capacity".
