Nasik, July 22: Rashtriya Janata Dal's Maharashtra unit executive committee and all its branches have been dissolved to streamline the party affairs and strengthen its base by removing those working against the party interest. To strengthen RJD in Maharashtra, I have taken the decision to dissolve the executive committee, RJD state unit president Laxman Menan, said in a release here today.

New executive committee would be announced on august 15, Menan said adding he would undertake a district-wise tour in the state from August 1 before declaring the new executive committee.

In September, RJD, under the leadership of its national president Laloo Prasad Yadav, would launch an agitation in Vidarbha and all RJD branches and executive committee would be reconstituted before that, he added.
