Jammu, Oct 28: Pakistani troops continued targetting forward defence locations (FDLs) and fired more than 100 mortar shells in Rajouri district's Noushera sector in Jammu and Kashmir since last evening, official sources said. The troops from across the Line of Control (LoC) shelled FDLs and other defence posts in Kalsia, Rumlidhara, Jhangar and Bhawani areas of Nourshera sector from 7: 30 pm yesterday to 3:30 am today forcing Indian troops to retaliate, the sources said.

"The exchange of shelling continued between two sides without any loss or damage on our side. More than 100 mortar bombs exploded in our areas during the period," they said.

"Casualities or damage on the enemy side, if any, in the retaliatory action could not be ascertained so far," the sources said.

Reports from International Border (IB) said that exchange small arms firing between Pak rangers and Border Security Force (BSF) troops took place at some places in Hiranagar, R S Pura and Samba sectors since yesterday without any casualty or damage on our side, they added.
