Lucknow, Sept 22: Controversial Legislator and former Uttar Pradesh Minister, Amarmani Tripathi who was arrested yesterday by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the poetess Madhumita murder case would be presented before the court today. A highly-placed source told a news agency that Tripathi, who was hospitalised last night after he complained of restlessness and chest pain would be taken to the court from the hospital.
Tripathi, a former BSP minister, was picked up from his Lawrence terrace residence and was brought to the CBI headquarters where he was arrested.

" We have clinching evidence to prove Tripathi's hand in Madhumita's murder," CBI sources said.

CBI did not rule out the arrest of some other family members in this connection.
The broad daylight murder of 24-year old poetess Madhumita Shukla on May nine had created a political storm as Tripathi was said to be having an affair with the slain poetess who was pregnant.
The then Chief Minister Mayawati had sacked Tripathi and had handed over the case to the CBI.
