Mumbai, Sept 30: Appliances-maker Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company Ltd and HDFC Bank Ltd, along with other white goods and electronics companies, have announced offers to cash in on the festive season, which begins with Navratri this year. The appliances manufacturer has launched its festive offer, `Har Din Dhamake', enabling customers to win prizes through scratch cards, ranging from a luxury cruise vacation to Singapore to Hero Honda motorcycles and home appliances.
The company is offering "two sure prizes" with every purchase of its refrigerator or washing machine and a chance to win discount coupons with purchase of other Godrej items, Godrej & Boyce manufacturing said in a release here today.
The offer, available through scratch cards, is valid till October 31, 2003, it said adding, cash discounts upto Rs 10,000 or a 22-carat gold coin upto 25 gms and a chance to win a diamond pendant are also included.
Meanwhile, HDFC Bank managing director Aditya Puri said the bank would be offer gifts worth Rs 12 crore and offer discounts on spends using its debit and credit cards.
The bank would also guarantee gifts on spends exceeding a certain limit, apart from offering discounts at over 600 shopping outlets in the country, he added.
Samsung India Electronics Ltd had earlier launched its festive offerings, `Rub Ka Kamal', under which the company would offer gifts with every purchase its consumer electronics and home appliances.
The festive season, which begins with Navratri, extends to Diwali, Christmas and new year. Bureau Report
