`Clean India campaign`: Kapil Sharma thanks PM Narendra Modi for nomination
On the occasion of Good Governance Day Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi to inspect the progress of work at Assi Ghat in Varanasi, where he began the Clean Ganga campaign, a part of the Clean India Campaign mission on Nov 8.

The PM named the third set of 9 nominees which included stand-up comedian and actor Kapil Sharma.
Kapil took to Twitter to thank the PM for choosing him for the noble mission. He tweeted:
Others named by Modi include Nagaland Governor Padmanabh Acharya, former police official Kiran Bedi, danseuse Sonal Mansingh, former Indian Cricket team captain Saurav Ganguly, Eenadu group owner Ramoji Rao and his team, the India Today group and its head Arun Poorie, the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) and the Mumbai Dabbawallas. Earlier, Modi named actors Kamal Haasan, Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan and the cast of popular TV serial ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma’, Kailash Kher and a number of others celebrities from the world of entertainment to spread the message of his Clean India campaign countrywide.
