Two Maoists were killed and four sustained injuries in a scuffle between the rebels and the locals in Parsauni village of Parsa district, adjoining Raxaul of India, Radio Nepal has reported. The incident took place on Saturday when a group of Maoist rebels entered a local school and tried to enforce the communist way of education. The local people, who had formed a Maoists resistant group, fought with the Maoists killing two of them.
The locals also set ablaze ten houses in Jharawa village of the same district.

Meanwhile, in another incident the Nepalese army is believed to have opened fire at an agitated mob of Maoist workers. The complainants said they had approached the authorities, who has received hundreds of complaints, on the issue but failed to get satisfactory reply. Bureau Report
