Kalam to open residential school in Karnataka village today
Mysore, Dec 27: President A P J Abdul Kalam will inaugurate today a free residential school at Suttur village near here that aims at the uplift of underprivileged children without distinction on the basis of caste or religion.
Mysore, Dec 27: President A P J Abdul Kalam will inaugurate today a free residential school at Suttur village near here that aims at the uplift of underprivileged children without distinction on the basis of caste or religion.
Being set up by the JSS Mahavidya Peeta, the school can
accommodate upto 2500 students and will be open to pupils from Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Maharastra besides Karnataka, executive secretary B N Betkarur told newspersons yesterday.
The school, from class one to ten, is the brainchild of Sri
Shivarathry Deshikendra Swamiji and has been constructed at a cost of Rs 15 crore, he added.
Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi and Chief Minister S M Krishna will also participate in the function. Bureau Report
