Warangal, Jan 10: In a major setback to the naxalite movement in Andhra Pradesh, 21 naxals, including two commanders, from various groups surrendered to police here today.

The ultras, belonging to Peoples War Group (PWG), Praja Pratighatana, Janashakti and other splinter groups, surrendered before director general of police (DGP) P Ramulu. The DGP distributed Rs 16 lakh to the victims affected by naxalite violence in the district on the occasion. DIG Goutam Swang and district superintendent of police Nalin Prabhath were also present.
