Electronics major Philips India said on Sunday it will add 10 new products to its range in 2002 to raise its market share in the consumer electronics segment.
“We will introduce ten new products in 2002,” vice president of consumer electronics division Rajeev Karwal told a news agency in New Delhi. The yet to be launched models include one latest model of CD-recorder, four CTV models, one digital picture adjustment CTV model and four versions of mini MP3 player with VCDs. Karwal said these would provide cutting edge entertainment vis-a-vis other players in the respective segments.
“We want to raise market share in CTV segment to over six per cent from current 5.4 per cent,” Karwal said pointing out that the company's new television launches are expected to help it increase market share.
Philips is targeting over 40 per cent market share in audio segment, up from 37 per cent at present. Bureau Report
