Durban, May 19: An Indian-origin businessman who has been convicted of tax fraud running into millions of Rands is the promoter of two major live shows of popular singer Kumar Sanu in South Africa to be held this month. Sunny Gayadin, a former illegal casino operator who was convicted of tax fraud last year, is behind two Kumar Sanu shows to be held in Durban this Friday night and at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg on May 25.

Durban-based Gayadin, who had promised to make a comeback after his conviction, said he wanted to ensure that the two shows were top class and therefore was doing his best to get at least one Bollywood star to be at the shows.

"If everything goes according to plan then we will have an additional attraction of Bollywood stars at the Kumar Sanu nite. This is my gift to my supporters," he said.
More than 4000 tickets have already been sold for the Durban show, he said.

In addition to Kumar Sanu, vocalists Poonam Bhatia and Rajesh Mishra will perform at the show.

Kumar Sanu has remained behind after attending the IIFA ceremony in Johannesburg last weekend.
