Mumbai, Apr 22: Veteran actor Rajesh Khanna and Marathi filmdom's leading actress Jayashri Gadkar would be felicitated with Maharashtra government's Raj Kapoor and V Shantaram Awards respectively. Khanna was unanimously selected for this year's Raj Kapoor Award, cultural affairs minister Ashok Chavan announced here today. Jayashri has been nominated for the V Shantaram Award, set up by the state government for lifetime achievement in filmdom, Chavan said.
The Raj Kapoor Award comprises Rs one lakh, a memento and a citation. The Shantaram award carries cash reward of Rs 1.25 lakh.

The awards would be presented to Khanna and Jayashri on April 30, birth anniversary of legendary film-maker Dadasaheb Phalke, Chavan said.
Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan and veteran actor Jitendra would grace the occasion.

The awards would be given away by Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, the minister added.
