Hyderabad, Sept 24: BJP President M Venkaiah Naidu
today asserted that his party's alliance with TDP was "firm
and will continue in future" in the interest of the country.
"Chief Minister (Chandrababu Naidu) is working in tandem
with the NDA government for the cause of development," Naidu
said while addressing an election rally here to campaign for
BJP's candidate B Balreddy for the bypoll to Karwan assembly
seat.
The ruling TDP is supporting BJP candidate in the
September 26 by-election, for which the campaign ended today.
Asking voters to chose between the "forces of development and those of destruction", Naidu said the BJP-TDP combine stood for development and progress while congress and Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) represented destructive forces. Claiming that NDA government at the Centre and TDP in the state were doing a "tremendous job" in improving the living standards of the people, the BJP chief said, "We seek your support for continuity and development".
"The NDA government has ushered in a connectivity revolution -- road, air, telephone, it and river connectivity and also opened a new era of political connectivity," he said.

Warning people against the designs of "fundamentalist
forces", Naidu also had a dig at the "blow hot, blow cold"
relationship between congress and MIM, saying "they indulge in
`Kushti' (fighting) in the morning and `Dosti' in the
evening".
Senior TDP leader and Home Minister T Devender Goud and
Union Minister B Dattatreya were also present at the rally.
The bypoll was necessitated following the death of MIM
Legislator Syed Sajjad.
