Ordinance to remove lacunae in Arunachal`s Panchayati Raj Act
Itanagar, Dec 03: Aarunachal Pradesh cabinet today decided to issue an ordinance to remove lacunae in Section 104 and 11 of the Panchayati Raj Act 1997, related to the holding of elections, education minister Takam Sanjoy said.

of elections, education minister Takam Sanjoy said.
Besides this, the cabinet has given approval to the draft
white paper on uniform sales tax, introduced in the state last
year, Sanjoy said.
Cabinet also decided to re-introduce stipends to
all students in the state, he said.
Leasing out of 50 acres of land and four buildings at boa-Simla in lower Subansiri and Kurung Kurmey districts to the National Hydel Power Corporation (NHPC) against a payment of Rs 18.6 lakh was also decided, Sanjoy added.
The leasing out of land and buildings would enable the NHPC to set up its offices and to Start Hydel Power Projects in the state, the minister added.
