Srinagar, Nov 06: The security forces have gunned down two militants in an ongoing encounter in Shopian area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir, a defence spokesman said here. "So far two militants have been killed at Manzgaon in Shopian area and the encounter is still on," Lt Col Mukhtar Singh said.

One of the houses in which the militants were holed-up has been destroyed but they were now firing from a nearby house, he said, adding heavy firing between the two sides was continuing.
