Chandigarh, Mar 24: Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani's ‘Bharat Uday Yatra’ will reach Chandigarh today evening where it will be accorded ''unprecedented and historical welcome'', BJP leader Satya Pal Jain said here. ''Later, Advani will address a public rally here. Advani last addressed a public rally in Chandigarh in February 1998, and after becoming the Union home minister and the Deputy Prime Minister it will be his first public rally here,'' Jain said.
''Advani will also address a news conference at the UT guest house on March 25 morning and thereafter his yatra will move to Punjab,'' Jain added.
Claiming the margin of his own victory in the elections would be ''huge and unprecedented'', Jain said people of all the sections of society would vote for the BJP this time round and even nine out of 17 sarpanches of Chandigarh's villages were with him.
He also claimed the support of the Shiromani Akali Dal, saying Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians all would also rally behind him and he would win the election by the largest ever margin in this seat so far.
