New Delhi, Mar 23: The Election Commission today said there would be separate queues for the senior citizens and the disabled at all polling stations to be set up for the coming Lok Sabha and assembly elections. However, the commission is unable to provide braille facilities on the electronic voting machines (EVMs) for the benefit of the blind, Deputy Election Commissioner A N Jha told reporters. Visually challenged voters would be allowed to take a person each inside the booth for the purpose of voting, he said.

Most of the schools have either ramps for the physically handicapped using wheel chairs or the polling is held on the ground floor. Bureau Report
