New Delhi, Feb 20: In the continued influx of personalities within its fold, the Bharatiya Janata Party today admitted former Central Minister Satya Pal Malik, Rajya Sabha member D P Yadav and Hariram Khatri, former member of the Delhi Municipal Council. Party president M Venkaiah Naidu himself received the initial money to made them members of the party.

Introducing the three to the media, BJP General Secretary Pramod Mahajan said the party would get further boost with the joining of Malik and Yadav in Uttar Pradesh, while Khatri, who had earlier been president of the Lok Dal and general secretary of the Jan Morcha floated by former Prime Minister V P Singh, was a well known figure in Delhi. Malik had been a member of the Rajya Sabha 1980 (Lok Dal), again in 1986 representing the Congress. He was elected to the Lok Sabha from Aligarh in 1989 and was a Minister of State for Tourism and Parliamentary Affairs in 1990.
