Jalgaon, June 05: Maharashtra food and civil supplies minister, Suresh Jain, today filed a defamation case in a district court here against anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare for levelling corruption charges against him. Jain's advocate Sudhil Achyutrao Atre told reporters that the minister went to the district court and submitted all papers. Last month, Hazare had levelled grave corruption charges against four NCP ministers, including Jain, who had sent legal notice challenging him to prove the allegations or face legal action.

Jain is scheduled to file another defamation case against Hazare in Mumbai on June 11.
Making counter allegations, Jain, who is also the guardian minister of Jalgaon, has claimed he has received numerous complaints of corruption against Hazare and his activists. Bureau Report
