Lucknow, Sept 19: UP BJP chief Vinay Katiyar today welcomed the Rae Bareli court's decision to frame charges against him in the Babri Masjid demolition case saying he felt honoured that his contribution for construction of Ram temple has been recognised. "We are firm in our belief that ram temple should be constructed at Ayodhya, and for that we are ready to make any sacrifice," he told newspersons here.

Katiyar, MP from Faizabad, said Ram temple would be constructed at the Ram Janmabhoomi. "If a temple cannot be built in Ayodhya where Lord Rama was born, where will it be built ... In Mecca or in Madina."

He said that his counsel would fight the case in the court while BJP workers would help in creating an atmosphere in favour of construction of the temple at Ayodhya.
