Srinagar, Oct 23: The J&K National Panthers Party chief Bhim Singh today urged the Governor to invite the "larger" group to form the government in the state and administer oath to the newly-elected MLAs by next week.
"I urge your excellency to call the larger group of MLAs to from the government before the Durbar opens in Jammu lest the Governor's rule meets the genuine wrath of the people," Singh said in a letter to Governor G C Saxena.
"The MLAs need to be administered oath without delay to ensure justice to the mandate of the people," he said.
Citing the Supreme Court ruling in Bommai case, he said Governor's rule could have been avoided by inviting Congress, which had the support of the larger group of MLAs in the house, to form the government.

"I feel some vested interests have been trying to hijack the political process and they have succeeded so far," he said pointing out that the reconstitution of the new assembly on Oct 13 should not have taken place while the previous one was still alive.
Singh, whose party won four seats in the 87 member house and has been staking his claim for chief ministerial post, said, "the MLAs have been subjected to harassment and neglect because of the suspension of the assembly."
