Jakarta, Feb 03: Indonesian police said today that they had arrested a Malaysian national believed to have been involved in the planning and funding of the October 12 Bali bombing.

Noordin Mohammad Top was arrested in the east Java town of Gresik early today, deputy national police spokesman Chief Commissioner Didi Rohayadi said.
"According to Ali Imron (one of the key detained suspects in the Bali bombing), he is involved in the planning and financing of the Bali bombing," he said.

Noordin Mohammad Top was being questioned by police at their Java headquarters in Surabaya, he said.
