The relative humidity (maximum) here touched 90 per cent and the high was recorded at 33.4 degrees celsius, according to the meteorological centre here. The city received some showers late towards evening breaking the brief dry spell.

Ambala in Haryana had a high of 35.7 c while Amritsar in Punjab recorded a maximum temperature of 34.6 c.

Ludhiana and Patiala recorded near similar highs at 34.3 c and 34.2 c, respectively.
Patiala (4.8 mm) and Shahpur Kandi (35.2 mm) in Punjab received some rains.

Rains also lashed parts of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

Srinagar in J&K was also received heavy rains at 37.6 mm, the Met centre said, adding that moderate rain or thundershowers can be expected at many places in Haryana and Himachal while light to moderate rain has been forecast at a few places in Punjab over the next two days.
