NC activists join Congress in J&K
Jammu, Sept 11: In a boost to Congress Party in Jammu and Kashmir several National Conference leaders including vice-president of Kathua district Surjeet Singh Jamawal today joined Congress Party.
Jammu, Sept 11: In a boost to Congress Party in Jammu and Kashmir several National Conference leaders including vice-president of Kathua district Surjeet Singh Jamawal today joined Congress Party.
Admitting them into the party fold, state PCC chief Ghulam Nabi Azad, MP, said that the decision of the National Conference leaders would further strengthen Congress Party and
advised them to work in this direction.
All those who joined Congress Party assured Azad that they would relentlessly work to strengthen the party, a Jammu and Kashmir PCC release said. Beside Jamawal, Malbinder Singh, Surinder Singh, Amarjit Singh (all from Kathua district) and Bhagwan Dass Sharma (Uttri) were among those who joined the party.
Former Jammu and Kashmir Minister R S Chib was also present at the function in which they joined the party. Bureau Report
