Bangalore, Nov 04: Leg spinner Anil Kumble has opted out of Thursday's triangular series one-day cricket international against New Zealand in Cuttack following the death of his father here yesterday. Sairaj Bahutule is likely to replace him.
"Kumble has informed the board of his unavailability due to the sudden demise of his father K N Krishnaswamy," Indian cricket board secretary S K Nair told.
Kumble would join the team for the November 12 match here against Australia, Nair said.
"Bahutule is likely to replace Kumble but a final decision would be taken by the selectors and the team management," Nair added.
