Nation pays respects to Nehru
New Delhi, Nov 14: Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat led the nation in paying floral tributes to country`s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary today, which is also the Children`s Day.

country's first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary today, which is also the Children's Day.
Shekhawat placed a wreath at Shantivan amidst children from various schools singing in memory of "Chacha Nehru".
Congress president Sonia Gandhi also paid tributes and joined an all-religion prayer meeting at the memorial.
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and her cabinet colleagues, besides a large number of Congress workers turned up at Shantivan to pay respects to Nehru.
