Madonna Di Campiglio, Jan 15: Rubens Barrichello joined Ferrari in 2000 from Stewart and, while overshadowed by team mate and six-times world champion Michael Schumacher, has played his part in helping the Italy-based team to win the constructors' title for the last three seasons. He has ten years of Formula One behind him and is convinced the best is yet to come. He was upbeat at the news conference and spoke of his hopes to win the world championship. Joining him on the podium was MotoGP rider Loris Capirossi and Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer.
Earlier Capirossi had been racing around the snowy slopes on a snowmobile but Barrichello doesn't go in much for wintersports. As he pointed out, he snowboards for only one or two days a year so he is only a beginner.
Later in the day Michael Schumacher arrived at the resort and the Ferrari team will be putting on a wintersports show for guests on Thursday and Friday.
