Crucial Trinamool Congress session from today
Asansol, Aug 30: Trinamool Congress leaders will be meeting at a crucial two-day session from today at this industrial town of West Bengal which is unlikely to make any change in the party`s political position but will reiterate its continued alliance with the ruling NDA at centre.

"At the national level our party's alliance with ruling NDA at the Centre is a cornerstone whereas at the state level Trinamool will launch vigorous campaign against the CPI(M)-led Left Front", senior Trinamool leader Saugata Roy said here.
He said no change in the party's political stand was expected in the deliberations of the meeting which will undoutedly reaffirm Trinamool's continued alliance with the NDA. Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee, desparate to infuse fresh blood in party's rank after successive poll debacles, will use the two-day session for gearing up the machinery with an eye on the general elections.
Senior BJP leader and Human Resources Devlopment Minister M M Joshi and West Bengal BJP president Tathagata Roy will attend the Trinamool's inaugural session in an apparant show of solidarity with that party. Bureau Report
