New Delhi, Nov 03: Three electricity contractors were nabbed for allegedly over-charging consumers for providing power connections and cheating them of lakhs of rupees, police said. Following several complaints about electricity contractors of Sangam Vihar, Abu Fazal Enclave and Jogabai Extension, Okhla, the accused - Rashid, Mohammed Rashid and Rajender Saini - were apprehended, police said.
Under single point delivery scheme of electricity, the trio were given contracts by BSES for providing electricity connections in slum. Unauthorised colonies, police said, adding that they over-charged consumers.
