New Delhi, May 04: Some peace activists have alleged they were assaulted by Bajrang Dal workers while protesting VHP's 'trishul diksha' programme in east Delhi today. The activists led by Vimal Kumar of national platform of mass organisation alleged they were attacked by the activists when they approached the function venue shouting slogans such as "we want peace not trident and swords". They said the Bajrang Dal activists responded by shouting anti-Pakistan and anti-Muslim slogans. However, VHP leaders denied any such incident. Elsewhere, activists of the Youth Congress, which had threatened to disrupt the programme, staged a demonstration in faraway Mukherjee Nagar area, demanding the arrest of fire-brand VHP leader Praveen Togadia.
