New Delhi: Speaking on intolerance issue yet again, actor Aamir Khan has rebuffed earlier rumours of him calling India intolerant and said that he was misquoted.

In an interview to a TV channel recently, Aamir Khan reopened the debate where he referred to the incident that happened last year. The 'Dangal' actor was targeted for making some statement on the intolerance issue which sparked a lot of controversy. Speaking to the channel, however, Khan said that he never said that India was intolerant.


He further added that there are many haters in this country who constantly look forward to breaking up the nation and it is only Prime Minister Narendra Modi who can save country from these elements.


He also said that he will continue to be the brand ambassador of India even though the government may have discontinued him.


Speaking of his wife and leaving India, he reaffirmed that, “We are not going anywhere.”
