New Delhi: A complaint has been filed against Aamir Khan for his statement on the the ''rising intolerance'' in the country.

Facing a wave of backlash, Aamir has given birth to fresh controversy and is being condemned by many.


At an event held on Monday, Aamir said that his wife Kiran is so paranoid about the ''rising intolerance'' that she once suggested that move out of the country.

Filmmaker Ullhas PR has filed a complaint with the New Ashok Nagar police station against Aamir on Tuesday.


"We have certain fundamental duties...which says that we should maintain harmony in the nation. So when celebrities give such type of statements, they should first mention which society are they talking about where people are living in scared conditions?" Ulhas said.


Post this controversy, security outside Aamir Khan's residence has reportedly been beefed up.
