Tokyo, July 04: Isuzu Motors will supply fellow Japanese automaker Mazda Motor Corp with 6,000 small trucks a year for the Japanese market, both companies said on Friday.
Mazda, which is 34 per cent owned by Ford Motor Co of the United States, already buys diesel engines from Isuzu. Isuzu has a partnership with US automaker General Motors Corp. Under the latest deal, Mazda will buy a type of truck now sold as the Isuzu Elf, and sell the vehicles under its own Titan brand at Mazda dealers starting next year. The companies said that the agreement lets them focus on their strengths, such as diesel trucks for Isuzu and passenger cars for Mazda. Bureau Report
