Jammu, June 15: There has been no let up in the shelling and firing between Indian and Pakistani troops along the line of control and international border in Jammu division where one child was killed, nine civilians were injured and an equal number of cattleheads perished since last evening, official sources said here today.

A four-year girl, Tasleema Akhter was killed and four civilians, including a woman, were injured as Pakistani troops resorted to shelling on Karmara village in Poonch district last evening. Nine cattle were also perished and three houses got damaged in Karmara and Ajot villages due to shelling from across the LoC, they said, adding three persons were also sustained injuries in Gulpur village of the district. Besides, two persons were seriously injured at Bandi Chachian village when Pakistani troops targeted it with mortar and artillery fire during last night.
Heavy shelling from across the border also took place in Dhargloon area of the district during the period, they added.
