Nagpur, July 13: Even as BJP agreed to consider the Sangh Parivar demand for a legislation on temple construction in Ayodhya, Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani today expressed doubts over its fate in Parliament in the absence of support by Congress and even NDA allies. During an interaction with journalists of pro-RSS Marathi daily "Tarun Bharat," Advani, when asked why there cannot be a legislation on the Ayodhya issue, said this was not feasible because the government did not enjoy majority in the Rajya Sabha .
"Why ayodhya? Any bill cannot be passed without the support of the Congress and we should accept this harsh reality," Advani said.
He referred to the passage of Pota in Parliament and said this was possible because "we had the support of allies and of some other parties. The same thing cannot be said here (Ayodhya)." Bureau Report
