Four held in connection with Kerala councillor`s murder
Chennai, June 11: The city police today arrested four persons in connection with the May 27 murder of an unidentified man, believed to have been a CPI-M councillor of Punalur Municipal Council in Kerala, police said.
Chennai, June 11: The city police today arrested four persons in connection with the May 27 murder of an unidentified man, believed to have been a CPI-M councillor of Punalur Municipal Council in Kerala, police said.
The body, which was buried five days ago, was stated to have been identified as Prasad Sebastian by the deceased's brother after viewing the remains which was exhumed on June nine.
However, only a DNA test and a superimposition test on the bones and skull of the exhumed body and blood samples from a blood relative of Sebastian could confirm if the body was actually that of the missing councillor.
Police are also questioning one Suresh Kumar, his driver Ananthan, who allegedly arranged the murder, and Kumar's wife Indira.
