Agartala, June 16: A ruling CPI-M member was killed by NLFT insurgents in West Tripura district last night, police said here today. A group of banned national liberation front of Tripura insurgents raided Bangshibari village and stormed the house of local committee member of CPI-M, Balaram Debbarma, they said, adding he was later hacked to death by them. The insurgents forced the family members of Debbarma to burn the body at gun point soon after the incident, police said and added, a search operation has been launched to nab the ultras. Bureau Report
