Communist Party of India (CPI) on Saturday urged Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah to convene an all party meeting at the state level to decide the future of Resettlement Bill. “Farooq Abdullah should call an all political parties meeting to evolve a political consensus of the Resettlement Bill (now act) called Bill No 9 in Jammu and Kashmir, CPI general secretary,” Shameem Faizee told reporters in Jammu. He said that there should be cut of date, which has a provision in the Resettlement Act. “Now the need of the time is take a political initiative on it,” he said and added that bringing bill to fore was need of National Conference and BJP.
