The top seeded Indian doubles pair of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi entered the quater-finals of the $381,000 Mallorca Open in Spain on Wednesday.
The duo, defeated unseeded pair of Aleksandar Kitinov of Makadonia and Johan Landsberg of Sweden 6-4, 6-7(6), (10-7) in their first round match.
The victory put an end to the three-match losing streak they have had together before splitting-up, and also the three-match losing streaks they have each individually with different partners.
In quarter-finals the duo will face Stephen Huss of Australia and Myles Wakefield of South Africa. Huss and Wakefield defeated singles entry doubles team of Dominik Hrbaty of Slovakia and Albert Portas of Spain 6-3, 6-3 in the first round.
